Painting is above all painting, a game of visual illusion, it is a medium in which things appear that look like something and things that are not. Sometimes, when I paint abstraction, it is precisely because there is an absence of the most figurative element, so the eye does not recognize anything more than a broken plane of painting that could be a background, a setting, a landscape… It could also be nothing of This, the truth is that I do not intend to determine the image as something fixed or immobile. For me, the painting is the total freedom to play manually with the paint and the image, with the signs, the symbols and the gesture.
